Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong (2023-2024, DC Comics en collaboration avec Legendary) !
C'est exactement le genre de crossover déjanté qui me fait kiffer : des super-héros iconiques qui se tapent dessus avec des kaijus géants, le tout dans un feu d'artifice d'action pure. Franchement, je trouve ça génial pour ce que c'est – un blockbuster en pages, comme un film popcorn explosif. Pas besoin de profondeur philosophique ici ; c'est du spectacle non-stop, avec Superman qui se prend un rayon d'atome de Godzilla en pleine poire, Wonder Woman qui affronte un monstre sur Themyscira, et Batman qui improvise un Bat-mech contre un Mechagodzilla. L'idée de base (la Légion du Mal qui ouvre un portail dimensionnel par accident) est simple mais efficace, et ça permet des moments hilarants, comme Kong qui récupère un anneau de Green Lantern.
L'action et les visuels : Les planches de Christian Duce et Tom Derenick sont dingues – des spreads doubles pages où les titans défoncent Metropolis ou Skull Island, avec des couleurs vives et un dynamisme qui donne envie de voir ça en live-action.
Le fun crossover : Si t'aimes les deux univers (DC et Monsterverse), c'est un rêve éveillé. Voir Lex Luthor avec des robots kaiju, ou la Justice League qui doit s'allier aux monstres contre une menace titanesque ? Pur plaisir guilty.
